Where did October go? Fourth grade is charging forward -- full steam ahead! Check out our updates to the weekly schedule, wish lists, suggested websites, greatest hits, photos/videos and newsletters.
Speaking of videos... please don't think that we sit around watching videos all day. Sometimes I find a video that relates directly to our studies. Sometimes I find a video that will inspire or encourage them. Sometimes it's just a quick "brain break". It is not something we do every day. If the video is posted on our website, generally it's because the kids asked me to put it there for you to see too.
If you have not had a conference yet, and would like one, please let me know.
We will be studying immigration in social studies over the next few weeks. If you have a personal immigration experience to share with the class, send me an email and we will schedule some time for you to visit.
I changed everyone's xtra math account to "multiplication". That means that even students who had not finished working through addition and subtraction will now be practicing multiplication facts. If you prefer that your student continue to work through all sections, please let me know.
Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. I am thankful that you have entrusted me with your children. It is such a pleasure, and an honor, to spend my days with them.
